NASA Exchange Lodge (NEL)

Overview

Upon Arrival (Checking-In):
  • Unless your program has made other arrangements, you are required to pay for your room every 2 weeks. However, you can opt to pay in advance for a longer stay.
  • Front desk personnel should be notified at check-in if your program is paying for your lodging.

Upon Departure (Checking-Out):
  • All balances must be paid before you leave. It is suggested that you settle any dispute of charges prior to the day of your departure.
  • DO NOT leave keys in your room. Keys must be surrendered to front desk personnel or you can deposit them in the grey drop box at the front desk if no one is present.

In-Room
  • Private Bathrooms
  • Refrigerators, most full size
  • Microwave
  • Coffeepot
  • Blankets, sheets, towels with weekly linen service (towels are replaced daily)
  • TV with cable (in some rooms)
  • All double occupancy rooms will include a bed and desk for each guest

Housekeeping

  • Your rooms are cleaned every Wednesday. Please remove all personal items from your bed prior to cleaning to allow easy access by housekeeping staff for linen service.
  • All unopened food should be kept in containers or the refrigerator to avoid pests.
  • Please call the lodge if you need extra items.
  • Be sure to lock all valuables. Locks are available for sale at the front desk.

Laundry Room
  • The NEL has a laundry room with coin-op washer and dryer for your use. Please ask the NEL for directions and the passcode to enter. You can bring laundry soap with you or purchase it at the store after you arrive. Laundry facilities are located in Building 547.

Wireless Access Code
  • Currently there is 24 hour WiFi access in Buildings 19, 547D, 583A and 583B, however there is often poor connectivity due to high volume of users. Initial access to the NASA Guest network must be obtained through your program or sponsor. After you obtain your hard-badge and NOMAD credentials you will no longer need to renew for temporary guest network access.

Community Kitchens
  • Besides the microwave in your room, you will have access to a communal kitchen facility. The kitchen will remain open as long as the area is kept clean and in good shape. For everyone's benefit, please try to keep the kitchens clean. The kitchens are located on the second floor of each building. Community kitchens are in:

From San Jose International Airpot (SJC):
  • Take Airport Pkwy Northeast
  • Turn Left onto Guadalupe Pkwy/CA-87
  • Take the US-101 North towards San Francisco
  • Exit on Moffet Blvd/NASA Parkway
  • Turn Right onto Moffett Blvd and continue to main gate

From San Francisco Internaiton Airpot (SFO):
  • Take US-101 South toward San Jose
  • Exit on Moffett Blvd/NASA Parkway
  • Turn Left toward Moffett Field and continue to main gate
